How Tasty Was My Little Frenchman humorously and ironically tells a tale of true cultural submersion and does so without pretense, living up to its title and opening promise: that no matter how much a French guy loves a group of natives, marries one of them, and strips himself (literally) of everything Western, their reciprocal enjoyment of him will be chiefly culinary in nature.
